Nykie : Founder and Website Editor
Followng the birth of her Daughter Miah in March 2008, Nykie found a
need for an online support group for parents and friends of people with D.S.

Kirsten : Founding Member
Being a former lawyer, Kirsten brings to the table all the i's dotted and t's crossed.
She is intrumental in research and development and as various projects on the go for the
betterment of the D.S Community.

Keith : Founding Member. Founder of D.A.D.S
After the birth of his son Keeganin September 2008 Keith joined upside of down and become the first parent
to recieve online support via the website immediately following the birth & diagnosis of his son. His
appreciation has been shown by becoming an integral part of the team and takes charge of many
development ideas, one of these being the D.A.D.S Group where fathers can share in their experiences.

Carol : Founding Member. Welcoming Committee
Mother of Baby Keegan & Wife of Keith, Carol also recieved support after the birth of her baby. Her experience
of this has enabled us as a team to improve the way we bring new members into the fold making them welcome
and making sure they feel at home. Carol is currently assisting us with sponsorship ideas.

Mel : Christchurch Rep. Welcoming Committee
I am a mother of three children; Ben 5, Emily 3 and Luke 1. I am married to Neil, a primary school principal, and am a part-time teacher with a special interests in Numeracy and Literacy. We moved to the South Island from Central Hawkes Bay in January to allow Luke to attend the Champion Centre.
